April 24th & 25th
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
Ah the wonder of spring! Crocuses sprout and push their fragile blooms through the remaining
vestiges of snow. Buds form on the trees and reveal the residue of life in the
lifeless branches. Trout ponds shed their ice and once again feel the breeze on their
faces. And children, trapped inside so long, bound into the yard, mounting the swings,
climbing the trees, basking in the sun.
Welcome to the second annual Spring Cleaning Conference in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
Join us as we return to the Word of God to scrub our hearts and minds from the dirt and
grime of winter. Our theme? Idols for Destruction: Cleansing Idols from Christian Homes.
It is a truism of biblical theology that we become what we worship. If this is so, then the
moral decay in our society and the dysfunction in our homes are not first and foremost a
result of wrong action; they are a result of wrong worship. The glorious promise of the
Bible is that God is in the business of fixing this very problem. "I will sprinkle clean water
on you," God promises, "and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness
and all your idols" (Ezekiel 36:25). Sprinkling clean water; cleansing filthiness; cleansing
idols; restoring families to the worship of the Triune God. Spring cleaning at its best.
